Prayer Requests for the Prayer Network Ministry
What is a prayer request? Jesus said, “Where two or three have gathered together in my name, I am there in their midst.” Prayer is powerful when many people are praying for the same person or situation. At Corpus Christi, we desire to pray for you and/or people whom you hold dear to your heart that may be suffering with an illness, a death in the family, or whatever else that life throws at you that we can pray for. For all those reasons and more, we have our Prayer Network Ministry. The Prayer Network Ministry is a wonderful group of parishioners who desire to know God better and pray for others. They welcome the privilege of praying over the weekly prayer requests from our church family.
To maintain confidentiality, we do not include names when we send out requests to those praying, but you are welcome to state your relationship to them. We also ask that you do not share personal details about someone else without their permission.

Requesting a Mass Intention
What does it mean to have a Mass “offered” for someone? The Church considers the Mass the greatest possible prayer of intercession because it is the perfect offering of Christ to the Father by making present the Paschal Mystery of His death and resurrection. To offer the Mass for a particular intention, such as the repose of the soul of someone who has died, the effects of the Mass bring certain benefits or fruits.
To request a Mass for a specific person, whether they are deceased, ill, or a special intention, i.e., anniversary, birthday, thanksgiving for something, looking for employment, contact the Parish Office either at: (630) 483-4673 or corpuschristicc@sbcglobal.net. Please consider offering a stipend to the Church for this request.
