What a wonderful celebration we had for the feasts of both St. Joseph and St. Patrick on Sunday, March 17th! Thank you to all who supported this event. In addition to enjoying wonderful food and fellowship, we’re pleased to announce that the free-will donations collected for Maryville Academy’s Residential Girls’ Homes in Bartlett totaled nearly $2,000! Thank you for your generosity!
Thank you to all our volunteers – Council of Catholic Women, Debbie Hartigan, President; Knights of Columbus, Brent Smith, Grand Knight, and many more – for their time and talent to make this event a huge success. Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to our pastor, Fr. Mark Jurzyk, for his continued support; Assunta Zernone for baking all the braided breads and buns; Mary Warick and Lynn Bierman for the lovely roses and flowers for the saints’ shrines and tables; Ida Delabadia for the beautifully decorated St. Joseph cake; Carmen Faczek for her artistic abilities to create our banner; the Filipino Community for their monetary donation and delicious food; John Zimny for his excellent photography; Maria Johnson for her ornate lace tablecloths and the beautiful flowers in the sanctuary.
Also, we thank Frank Saverino Sr. for his support; Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, Roselle, who donated 200 St. Joseph prayer cards. Many food donations were from our local restaurants.
